80 metres: The shell construction giant travelled from Szczecin via the NOK to Lemwerder.
Abeking & Rasmussen equips an 80 metre long shell. Hardly any details are known so far, but superyacht fans celebrated their first encounter with the colossus on the Kiel Canal.

The grand finale around the 80 metres will now take place at Abeking & Rasmussen in Lemwerder. The steel-aluminium hull is registered here under the name Abeking 6516 and swam in front of the camera lenses of the yacht spotters in the Kiel Canal. 118 metre "Liva".

In 2024, the keel of the 6516 was laid at G&K StellCon in Swinoujscie, Poland, and it is now being completed and fitted out on the Weser. A well-known British design studio will be involved in the launch. The ceremonial launch is still planned for 2026, but Abeking & Rasmussen does not expect delivery until 2027.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
