Van der Valk Shipyard confirms the successful sale of the "One". The 34.13 metre long aluminium yacht is heading for the Mediterranean in the spring. Jorge Saca Bahaia from Maspor Marine International brought buyer and shipyard together. The yacht is based on the proven hull design of the "Lady Lene" and extends over four decks with a total of 295 GT.
Two Volvo Penta D16-MH engines, each with an output of 552 kilowatts, propel the ship to a top speed of 14.3 knots. The cruising speed is 13 knots. A fold-out hydraulic beach club platform and a fully equipped room for water sports and wellness complete the concept.
Guido de Groot shaped the silhouette of "One". All angles point forwards, the fashion plate at the rear rises in a continuous curve to the hardtop. Interior designer Carla Guilhem created a living environment that combines aesthetics with suitability for everyday use.
The main deck saloon has floor-to-ceiling windows that open aft to an open-air dining area on the port side. The boundary between inside and outside is blurred. An asymmetrical skylounge on the bridge deck utilises the full width and creates a spatial structure that is rarely found on a 34-metre yacht.
Every square metre follows a well thought-out plan. The owner's suite forms a private area with a walk-in wardrobe. Four guest cabins offer friends and family the same level of comfort.
"One" is spending her first season under the new flag in the Mediterranean. The turquoise-coloured bays of the Balearic Islands or the villages on the Italian Amalfi Coast offer exactly the kind of sailing area for which the yacht was built. Warm evenings on deck, lunches at anchor and relaxed passages between traditional harbours will characterise the coming months.
