Perini Navi is broadening its base again. The Italian cult brand, known for sailing yachts from 40 metres in length, launched two motor yachts in quick succession.

Motor yachts from Perini Navi are nothing new. The shipyard from Viareggio celebrated great success in the late 1990s with 40 to 64 metre long sailing yachts made of steel and aluminium. It was not far from the ketches with a large interior volume - some people called them motorised sailboats - to formats without any sail propulsion at all. The Italians built these under the Picchiotti brand, a shipyard founded in 1575 that built "T.M. Blue One" for fashion designer Valentino in 1988.

Perini Navi transferred efficiency of sailing yachts

Under Perini's aegis, the 50-metre-long "Exuma" (now "Falco Moscata") was launched in 2010. This was followed by "Galileo G" (55 metres) and the 73-metre flagship "Nautilus" (formerly "Grace E") in 2014. What they all have in common is a slim and efficient hull platform designed by French sailing yacht designer Philippe Briand. His Vitruvius Yachts brand was also used for one of the new motor models from Perini Navi. Following its insolvency in 2021, the iconic shipyard belongs to the Italian Sea Group, which produced the two new projects in La Spezia. The "Fantasy", designed and constructed by Briand, remains true to the old style. The 59-metre-long steel and aluminium structure is 9.80 metres wide and has an interior volume of 800 gross tonnes.

Two new motor formats from Perini Navi

Shortly afterwards, the one metre shorter "Amante" was launched, which was built according to Perini Navi's exterior specifications and resembles an Explorer with its significantly higher superstructure. On board, guests can enjoy a beach club and wellness area with sauna, steam bath, fitness room, bar and direct access to the bathing platform. The main deck features a pool with a counter-current system, which is suitable for both leisure and fitness. The real estate and management company Camper & Nicholsons provided project managers and owner's representatives for both projects.
