The Pershing GTX90 measures 27.97 metres in length and 6.89 metres in width. It was developed in collaboration between the Vallicelli design studio and the Ferretti Group’s development department. Construction began in the plug-and-mould section in Forlì and was carried out by Pershing’s shipyard in Mondolfo completed. That’s also where its little sister is being built GTX70, which was launched last year.
The exterior design incorporates characteristic features of the GTX series: a slightly convex deck line running from bow to stern and an almost vertical stem. At the stern is the raised cockpit; two side terraces that can be lowered widen the hull in the cockpit area to a maximum deck area of 37 square metres. The cockpit features a sunbathing area with storage space for two Seabobs underneath. In front of this lies a lounge area in the shade of the superstructure, which in the first version is fitted with a forward-facing sofa and two coffee tables.
A wide door connects the cockpit to the main deck. On the port side is a large bar counter with three stools, fitted with fridges, an ice maker and a dishwasher. Opposite, on the starboard side, is a dining table seating eight people. In the central area is the saloon with a C-shaped sofa. The helm in front of it is fitted with three pilot’s chairs and, if required, features an electrically operated skylight. From here, you can access both side corridors, which lead to the bow lounge with its electrically height-adjustable table.
The lower deck houses four cabins, each with its own bathroom. The master suite is situated amidships and spans the full width of the hull. The VIP cabin is located in the forward section. One of the two guest cabins is fitted with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There are also two double cabins for the crew, each with its own bathroom and direct access to the galley.
The top deck, known as the ‘Sportbridge’, covers 33 square metres, which, according to the manufacturer, is over 43 per cent more deck space than the average for yachts of this size. At the stern is the sun deck, with a coffee table in the centre. In front of this is a seating area with two large sofas under a hardtop. The central flybridge helm station features three pilot’s chairs at the front and two control consoles with azimuth levers. A special feature is the double garage, which is being fitted for the first time in the GTX range under 100 feet. It offers space for a Williams 395 SportJet tender and a Sea-Doo Spark Trixx jet ski.
The Pershing GTX90 is powered by two MAN V12X engines, each producing 2,200 PS (1,618 kW). These work in conjunction with two Castoldi TurboDrive 600 HCT waterjets. The yacht holds Class A CE certification for unlimited voyages and is the first vessel to be fitted with two Seakeeper 18 gyroscopic stabilisers. These systems reduce rolling motion by means of rotating flyweights.
Pershing has been designing and building luxury motor yachts in the Open, Coupé and Sport-Fly categories for over 40 years. The brand was founded in 1985 and has been part of the Ferretti Group since 1998. Production takes place at the shipyard in Mondolfo, which covers 84,500 square metres. The current fleet consists of nine yachts ranging from 54 to 140 feet, divided into the Generation X and GTX Sport Utility Yacht ranges. The flagship Pershing 140 is the brand’s first superyacht built entirely from aluminium and is constructed in Ancona.
