With the frequency with which Feadship pulls individual structures over 50 metres long out of the halls, you can certainly get into trouble. Now it was the turn of 71.76 metres in Amsterdam. Project 827 was the seventh solitaire to be launched by the Dutch company within a year. That's a total of 599 metres in length!
The launching round began just over twelve months ago "Drizzle" (91.8 m | project 1012), followed by the hydrogen-powered "Breakthrough" (118.8 m | project 821). In June 2024, Feadship docked "B" (59.5 m | project 713) in Makkum and still in the old year "ONE" (75.75 m) in Kaag. In February 2025 "Faith (79.95 m, project 714) and shortly afterwards "Moonrise" (101 m | project 821) of water under the keel.
Studio De Voogt designed the exteriors of four of the seven newbuildings, including that of Project 827. The shipyard's own creative office gave the 72 metres flowing lines with a low freeboard and balanced proportions. A striking detail can be seen in the course of the upper deck bulwark, which takes on the shape of an acute-angled triangle towards the outside.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flood three of the five decks with light. The owners stay above the main deck on a separate level, which is glazed all round at the front and offers direct access from the master cabin to the private breakfast area and whirlpool. The completely private upper deck made it possible to raise the bridge. The saloon, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, opens out onto a spacious aft deck with a seven-metre pool and sun loungers. Teak-clad steps lead down to the bathing platform and emphasise the striking profile.
The layout has a surprise in store: all guest cabins are located on the main deck, where large windows and raised ceilings create an open feeling of space. Four double cabins and two larger VIP cabins that can be combined to form a full-length suite. A wellness area is located below the aft deck in the immediate vicinity of the bathing platform.
Project 827 is powered by a diesel-electric hybrid system that combines IMO Tier III-compliant generators with electrically driven propeller nacelles. Feadship is drawing on its many years of experience with hybrid drives, which began back in 2015 with "Savannah".
