With Riva Volare, Flexjet and the Ferretti Group present their joint cabin design for private jets and helicopters. The collaboration between the major brands brings yachting and modern aviation technology together.

Topics in this article

Flexjet is a leading company in private aviation and has teamed up with one of THE specialists for luxury yachts. The exclusive cabin design is inspired by the iconic motor yachts of the Riva brand.

The new design will be implemented in a Gulfstream G650 long-haul jet and two Sikorsky S-76 helicopters. The jet offers space for up to 15 passengers and can cover routes of 14-16 hours without a stopover, enabling direct connections between New York, Tokyo, London, Singapore and Milan.

Riva Volare is created from Aquarama plus Aquariva

For Riva Volare, the creative teams of both brands worked together for months and took up the typical design elements of a Riva. They combined details of the iconic Aquarama from the 1960s with the modern elegance of the Aquariva.

Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet, emphasised: "I have long admired the iconic style of Riva. To now see it realised in our aircraft is extraordinary. At Flexjet, design is more than just an aesthetic bonus, it's an integral part of the elevated experience we offer."

Riva takes off

Each element of the new design has been carefully curated to evoke a timeless Riva ambience. This includes strong colour contrasts, high-gloss wood panels with a striped look and fine leather and metal textures. A selection of Riva glassware, porcelain and cutlery completes the on-board service of the Gulfstream G650.

Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group: "The Riva style is an expression of elegance that adds class and exclusivity to any project, both at sea and on land, and now also at high altitude."

More destinations in the Mediterranean

A particular highlight for Flexjet and Riva is the introduction of a helicopter operation from Milan, which will serve Italy and the French Riviera. The new service is intended to meet the growing demand from Flexjet customers and new clients for flights to Mediterranean destinations during the summer months.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
