One year after its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, Romeo Marine is returning to Monaco: the Romeo 55 is complete. The 55-metre superyacht – built in Dubai and inspired by the Mediterranean – marks a decisive step forward for the fledgling shipyard and for Dubai’s growing role in the global superyacht industry.

Although the Romeo 55 will not be physically on display at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, its completion is nonetheless the strongest statement Romeo Marine could have made.

Inspired by nature

The design philosophy of the Romeo 55 is inextricably linked to nature – or, to be more precise, to the traces left behind by water, wind and coastal landscapes. The result is an interior that feels as though it has been gently shaped by nature: sweeping lines, sculptural details, and a light, contemporary colour palette that reflects the colours of the sea, the sky and the coast. Generous glazed areas flood the interior with light and create a constant visual connection to the sea.

A Mediterranean coastal villa on the water’s edge

Pulina Exclusive Interiors has developed a concept for the Romeo 55 that is inspired by a private Mediterranean coastal villa. “Rather than drawing on traditional yacht design references, the concept embodies the comfort, elegance and emotional appeal of home life,” explains Alessandro Pulina.

The choice of materials emphasises this approach: mahogany veneer lends the rooms depth, warmth and character. Natural marble and stone are used as sculptural elements, whilst selected leathers and metallic finishes add a touch of sophistication. Bespoke parquet flooring reinforces the yacht’s homely feel. Many of the pieces of furniture were designed by Pulina Exclusive Interiors specifically for the Romeo 55.

Interior design concept: spaciousness

The owner’s suite on the main deck spans the full width of the vessel and features a double-height ceiling with a skylight, a study, spacious bedrooms and fold-out balconies on both sides of the yacht.

Five spacious VIP and guest cabins on the lower deck are complemented by elegantly designed main and upper deck salons. A central staircase winds its way through the yacht, encircling a glass lift – an architectural statement that also facilitates movement between the decks.

The sun deck features a spa pool at the stern, sun loungers, a fitness area, a cinema set-up, a bar and a panoramic sky lounge with a large, opening skylight.

Technology and Performance

Powered by two MTU main engines, the Romeo 55 reaches a top speed of 15 knots. At a reduced cruising speed of 10 knots, its range is 5,200 nautical miles – enough to reach the world’s most sought-after destinations.

The steel-aluminium construction – steel hull, aluminium superstructure – benefits from two decades of Romeo Marine’s experience in superyacht fit-out and refit. A team of 500 specialists, ranging from local tradespeople to international engineers and project managers, has brought the Romeo 55 to fruition.
