The Dutch shipyard Feadship is working on a new project: "Sakura". The 72 metre long yacht is characterised by the ideal balance of form and function

Feadship came up with a special name: "Sakura". The Japanese word for cherry blossom is intended to summarise two features of the 72-metre vessel: its flowing, organic lines and its diesel-electric pod propulsion system.

The 12.40 metre wide structure was supplied by the Azure team, while Studio De Voogt based the exterior lines on the concept of the 82-metre "Pure" (2024), but with a less minimalist design. With "Sakura", the Dutch shipyard aimed for the ideal balance of form and function with a focus on clear lines, bright spaces and colours - a motto that was also taken up by the interior designers from Italian studio FM Architettura d'Interni.

The five-decker offers suites for twelve guests as well as a private owner's deck. The offer includes a skylounge and an XL aft deck with pool, which is ideal as the main meeting point for the family. Travelling speeds of up to 14.5 knots should be possible, with a range of 4500 nautical miles targeted at twelve knots.

"Sakura" found a buyer after just six weeks on the market, with handover scheduled for May 2025. Burgess is currently listing its sister, Project 825, for just under 170 million euros.
