The Italian shipyard proves that superyachts can also be built far from the sea - at its headquarters in Avigliana (Turin) to be precise. With a length of 26 metres, she is not only the flagship of the Seadeck seriesbut also the largest yacht ever built in this shipyard.
This was made possible thanks to a 50 million euro investment programme that Azimut launched in 2023. The money went towards modernising the halls and production processes to enable the construction of yachts up to 27 metres. The Seadeck 9 will be handed over to her owner in summer 2026, before making her official debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Building a yacht of this size in a shipyard that is not directly on the sea is a particular challenge. Giovanna Vitelli, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group, emphasises:
Avigliana represents a speciality in the industry. Building boats at the foot of the mountains has encouraged us to develop new solutions and push our technical skills to the limit.
The exterior lines of the Seadeck 9 were designed by Alberto Mancini, while Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez are responsible for the interior design. The yacht consistently fulfils the "back to nature" promise of the Seadeck series.
The "Fun Island" at the stern opens up towards the water like a stage: terraces extend over three levels, a pool reflects the sky and the bathing platform descends towards the sea. This area offers a total surface area of 60 square metres. This rear concept redefines the term "lifestyle" and creates a space that invites you to live and enjoy.
The interior of the Seadeck 9 follows the same design principles as the exterior lines. They epitomise the concept of "Conscious Design" by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez: spaces in which beauty and well-being are enhanced. The simple and elegant design language focuses on the relationship between people and their environment.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light and fulfil the "back-to-nature" promise in the interior too. The architecture becomes alive and approachable, changing with the sea and connecting passengers with their surroundings.
The Seadeck 9 continues the sustainability course of the series and is prepared for the installation of a hybrid drive from Volvo Penta. This readiness for more environmentally friendly technologies shows that Azimut also emphasises sustainability and ecological responsibility in its flagship. Hybrid technology not only enables more efficient operation, but also quieter driving and reduced emissions.
