Heesen celebrates a major milestone in the construction of the 57 metre long "Setteesettanta" (YN 20857). The custom yacht with four decks and helipad is the work of Omega Architects and Cristiano Gatto Design. The aluminium lady is due to be completed in 2026.

Heesen Yachts proudly announces the joining, or "marriage", of the aluminium hull and superstructure as well as the positioning of the engines on the 57-metre Custom. This part of the yacht building process also offers the curious a first look at the profile of the four-decker and, of course, the elegant exterior lines designed by Omega Architects.

Cristiano Gatto, who has already realised twelve projects with Heesen, drew the interior and also acts as the owner's representative: "Now we can see the beauty of the project in reality. While 3D visualisations give a good idea of what the yacht will look like, it makes a big difference when the design is brought to life." All materials are now being meticulously selected; the selection process for the marble took place just a few days ago in Verona, Italy.

The "Setteesettanta" owners get their private deck

"Setteesettanta" is the first Heesen yacht with a bridge on the fourth deck. The owners' privacy is ensured by the upper deck with a suite plus panoramic view and terrace. The project has a total interior volume of 920 GT.

Niels Vaessen, CEO of Heesen, says: "The 'Setteesettanta' project reflects the core values of Heesen with its aluminium hull, shallow draft (2.30 m) and precise construction. Seeing this 57-metre yacht take shape fills us with pride. Celebrating this milestone and honouring maritime traditions is important to us. We are proud of our capabilities and look forward to growing as a shipyard."

With the wedding, something else very important came on board: the installation of the two MTU 16V2000 engines is now making great strides forward, with the power package promising a top speed of 18 knots. "Setteesettanta" is now being further equipped and is due to be launched in January 2026.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
