Silent Yachts has completed its most complex project to date. The Italian brand's first SY80 solar catamaran was launched in Fano and is preparing for its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 (9 - 14 September). Shipyard report Silent Yachts.
With a length of 24.38 metres, the SY80 combines all the sustainable features of earlier models, but implements them on a larger scale. The buyer of the number one has ordered the flagship as a two-decker for twelve guests. Two further SY80 3-deck versions have already been sold.
In terms of propulsion, the catamaran promises virtually emission-free cruising, with the SY80 reaching top speeds of twelve knots and cruising comfortably at seven to eight knots. The battery capacities are 522 kWh and 696 kWh respectively, and the solar power is 22.4 kWp.
Owners can choose between 2-deck, 3-deck open or 3-deck closed layouts. All three configurations allow either the owner's suite on the main deck or an open saloon. In this case, the master cabin is placed on the lower deck.
The first SY80 is a 2-deck version with four guest cabins. Guests can enjoy a panoramic saloon on the main deck, while the upper deck is equipped with sun loungers. There is plenty of storage space: there is a garage at the rear of the port hull and space for toys and diving equipment in the starboard hull.
