Sirena Yachts took a bold step with the presentation of the Sirena 118 at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. An impressive superyacht needs an impressive debut, and the quays of Port Hercules provided the perfect backdrop. For the Turkish shipyard, it was the birth of a new, larger composite series with a waterline length of over 24 metres and under 300 GT.
The detailed planning for the 36-metre yacht had not yet been completed, but visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show saw promising renderings. Three living decks are overlooked by a large sun deck, with an optional round pool plus lounge at the bow and a beach club at the stern.
A trademark of the Sirena is the vertical bow, which creates additional volume in an already generous hull. There is enough space for a VIP suite and up to four guest cabins on the lower deck, with the owner's suite dominating the forward part of the main deck. The highlight is that the rooms can be spread over two decks. A spiral staircase leads to a huge wellness area, where a fold-out bathing platform completes the fun.
The Sirena 118's salons also make an impression. An informal dining area plus lounge fills the main deck aft, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a seamless transition to the outer deck. On the upper deck there is a larger dining table, a wet bar and a private outdoor terrace.
The yacht is designed for a crew of five, which can be increased to seven thanks to the captain's cabin on the upper deck. German Frers, a good friend of Sirena, developed the underwater profile of the yacht. The exterior lines were drawn by Sirena's in-house designers - a guarantee to make the brand's DNA visible from afar. Cor D Rover is responsible for the timeless, relaxed interior design.
The Sirena 118 speeds across the seas with a fast GRP displacement hull and is powered as standard by two MAN V12 engines totalling 2280 kilowatts. This gives the Mini-Mega a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of eleven knots. The alternative is a 2795 KW engine package for a maximum of 21 knots.
"The Sirena 118 will be the largest GRP yacht we have built to date," says the shipyard's CEO, Cagin Genc, "intelligent solutions, impeccable engineering and a modern design are combined with our great appreciation for the yachting lifestyle." The launch is scheduled for 2026.
