With "Spitfire", Ares Yachts presents a GRP superyacht that combines the look of a patrol boat with luxury and adventure. The concept pursued by designers Bannenberg & Rowell

With "Spitfire", Ares Yachts transfers an aeroplane model to the surface of the water. The Turkish shipyard's brand, known for its military vessels and passenger ferries, took the 150 Bold patrol boat as its model for the 50.55 metre boat and, with the help of Lateral Naval Architects, transformed the concept into an adventurous GRP superyacht with diesel-electric propulsion - with a maximum speed of 22 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles, which can be increased to 3,500 with an extra tank of fuel.

This was important for the designers on board "Spitfire"

Bannenberg & Rowell took care of the overall design. Viewed from the side, a few keywords summarise the look: flat profile, wide and beefy at the front, open at the rear. The rear features the usual folding balconies and a Transformer platform. For the designers, it was important that the interior spaces connect seamlessly and also open outwards. Thanks to mobile glass side walls, the dining area merges with the so-called bunker lounge to create a huge open-air living space.

The rest of the layout follows familiar yachting patterns. The master suite with private cockpit is located on the forward main deck, with four suites one floor below. Construction is due to start in 2025.
