Raise the curtain: Royal Huisman presents the superyacht Project 406 as a "Special One". The 52 metre long six-decker is the largest and most luxurious sportfisher yacht in the world, and the first tests on the North Sea have been successful.

"Special One" has cracked the 30-knot mark and demonstrated the best handling characteristics. The Sportfisher is designed to make an owner who is passionate about fishing happy. He and his guests bring their catch to the XL cockpit via mobile rods or side fishing outriggers, where there is also a tank for the prey. The best view of the shoals - or the surrounding area - is provided by the viewing platform, the tower, with a downward-facing angle.

The largest sportfisher in the world combines the fishing experience with the size and comfort of a true superyacht. Vripack Yacht Design is responsible for the exterior lines, the interior and the construction. The hull and superstructure are made of aluminium, a guarantee of high resistance and low weight. The lines show a long bow and high bulwarks that extend to a low and uncluttered cockpit at the stern.

"Special One" is also an eye-catcher in the harbours, especially in the evening thanks to the innovative exterior lighting, the laser-powered and extremely thin light strips are from fibr8.com. The technology of the company from Breda in the Netherlands has already been used by the Chinese conceptual artist Ai Weiwei for one of his light objects.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
