Professional athletes also follow the call of the sea. They use their yachts for relaxing, partying, diving or sport fishing. BOOTE EXCLUSIV presents ten exceptional athletes and their maritime hideaways.

More and more professional athletes are using their free time to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and treat themselves to some time out on the water. Many of them opt for luxurious yachts that either belong to them or that they charter for a certain period of time.

Reasons why exceptional athletes spend time on their sports yachts

There are various reasons why professional athletes like to spend time on the water. Firstly, the sea offers a change from stressful training and constant competition. The calm and relaxed atmosphere on a motor yacht allows athletes to switch off completely and recharge their batteries.

In addition, a yacht offers athletes, such as Conor McGregor or David Beckham, the opportunity to relax and spend time with family and friends. Many are often separated from their loved ones due to their hectic schedules, which is why they value their time on the water all the more. Some professional athletes, such as Michael Jordan, also use their time on a motor yacht to fulfil their passion for sport fishing or to try out other water sports such as surfing, jet skiing or diving.

Advantages of time out on the water

Another advantage that many professional athletes appreciate about yachting is the privacy. Away from the hustle and bustle of the public eye, they can relax in peace and recharge their batteries without being constantly besieged by fans and the media.
