Over the past few months, Sunseeker’s engineering teams have shaped the hull of the 134 and installed the main deck, superstructure and propulsion systems. To allow further work to be carried out, a tugboat towed the 40-metre yacht along the coast to Poole.
The first vessel in the newly revamped Sunseeker series is bound for the US and will be officially launched in 2027. This model marks the start of a new superyacht division for the British shipyard.
It was in Portland that the yacht’s heart and skeleton were essentially built. Engines, generators, shafts, propellers, stabilisers and the central hydraulic systems have all been installed, as has the network of fuel, fresh water, grey water and black water tanks and pipes. With the completion of these technical foundations, a new chapter is now beginning.
At Sunseeker’s superyacht shipyard in Poole, the focus is on the area where technology and design come together. This is where the components for the wheelhouse are fitted, along with the electrical infrastructure and on-board systems. The woodwork for the interior is also due to be carried out. Sunseeker 134: The upgraded version
The owner has opted for an ‘Extreme Black’ hull finish. This shade of black is intended to make the 134 unmistakable and emphasise its bold lines and proportions. After all, she should be instantly recognisable wherever she goes – whether at anchor in Monaco, whilst cruising through the Bahamas, or upon arrival at her home port.
