Sunseeker is planning a new series with models between 100 and 140 feet.
Sunseeker announces new superyacht series: The Ocean 460 comes with 460 Gross Tons, hybrid option and exclusive interior.

Sunseeker has delivered 150 yachts over 100 feet in the last 25 years. CEO Andrea Frabetti has now unveiled fresh ideas for the superyacht division of the traditional British brand. A new series with models between 100 and 140 feet is being planned.

Specifically, we are talking about a 120, a 135 and the Ocean 460: a 42 metre long three-decker with a round bilge semi-planing hull and vertical stem. With a beam of 9.50 metres, the new addition has 25 percent more interior volume than its sister ship, the Sunseeker 131, so instead of using the length of the yacht in the model name, Ocean 460 refers to the gross tonnage, in this case a whopping 460 gross tonnes.

Range and interior of the Sunseeker Ocean 460

Two MAN 12 V engines enable a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles at twelve knots. The optional hybrid version provides silent operation on short journeys and clean hotel operation at anchor.

The interior was created in collaboration with Design Unlimited ("King Benji") and is of correspondingly high quality. The shipyard speaks of "sophistication with exclusive accents, the finest woods, fabrics and combined with lots of leather".

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
