Conor McGregor was one of the first buyers of Lamborghini's debut model at sea, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63. A length of 63 feet was agreed in reference to the founding year of the brand from Sant'Agata Bolognese, 1963, and it was announced that only 63 units of the power format would be built. Lamborghini tractors have been around since 1948.
The renewed collaboration for the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101 proves that the brand liaison is here to stay. This time, the number suffix says less and stands for the length of 30 metres in feet. Once again, an automobile was used as a model, the Fenomeno model, limited to 29 vehicles. In addition to the colour, the front and rear lights refer to Lamborghini's hypercar. The design teams modelled the steering position on the Temerario model.
The interior is reminiscent of the models from the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer in terms of colour, stitching and shape. It is characterised by typical Lamborghini elements such as hexagons, clear lines and Y shapes. The yacht can accommodate up to nine guests and has three crew cabins. The interior design is reminiscent of sports cars on land in terms of colours, stitching and shapes. Characteristic Lamborghini elements such as hexagons, clear lines and Y shapes are central to the design. Below deck, there is space for up to nine guests and three crew cabins. Spacious and comfortable lounge areas make even the longest journeys a pleasure.
Once again, the designers from Lamborghini and Tecnomar, which belongs to the Italian shipyard group The Italian Sea Group, worked hand in hand. Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini, explains: "With the new Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT, we wanted to work with The Italian Sea Group to create a product that embodies the key design features of our super sports cars. Every detail, from the exterior to the colour scheme to the interior, recalls and is inspired by the DNA of Lamborghini. Our Centro Stile, which has been operating for 20 years at its historic headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, has worked meticulously to ensure that every element has been carefully designed and reflects the brand's unmistakable design."
One of the requirements was that the 30-metre craft should feel like being behind the wheel of a Lamborghini super sports car. The composite hull and three MTU engines (16V 2000 M96L), each delivering up to 1,939 kilowatts to the same number of surface propellers, are designed to deliver comfortable performance. The propulsion package should enable a maximum speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots. Two 35-kilowatt generators produce on-board power for the air conditioning system, galley and gyro stabiliser. But it will still be a while before the three 16-cylinder engines start bubbling: the first unit is due to be launched at the end of 2027.
According to The Italian Sea Group, Tecnomar's parent company, the 63 is also particularly popular with female owners and families. Thanks to the reduced draught of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, she is enjoying success throughout North America, from the East Coast to the West Coast. She is also popular in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where major superyacht owners have added the power format to their collections. The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 has also landed in Australia, in the harbours of Sydney and Perth.
