The Kazakh owner actually wanted to build "I Dynasty" in Japan, but the 100 metres ended up at Kusch Yachts in Wewelsfleth, Schleswig-Holstein. Project developer Richard Hein brought in the Monaco-based studio The A Group for the lines and commissioned the Italian studio Massari for the interior.
The motto was "One yacht for many guests", and so "I Dynasty" was built in 2015 according to the rules of the Passenger Yacht Code, which allows 36 passengers. One of the technical highlights of the steel construction is the tender garage with its own dock. Without a tender, the area becomes a 30 square metre indoor pool. Instead of traditional shaft lines, two Azipulls operate under water, which are powered by Rolls-Royce generators. Top speed: an impressive 17 knots.
To avoid confusion right from the start, there are two almost identical, similarly long Feadships with this name, both commissioned by Whatsapp co-founder Jan Koum: This sales offer via the brokerage house Burgess is not the new 100-metre-plus from 2025, but the "Moonrise" from 2020, which missed the magic 100 metres by just a few centimetres. Feadship's creative office Studio De Voogt drew the 20-knot, 15.5-metre-wide crack, while star designer Rémi Tessier kept an eye on the exterior, which experts like to describe as masculine, and was also responsible for the elegant interior.
The 16 guests can expect a crew of 32, an impressive spa and a beach club de luxe with high ceilings. However, guests will have to climb a considerable number of steps to reach the cockpit. Well, the room volume is more than ample, not least thanks to a gross tonnage of 3,945. Another striking feature is the enormous window areas all around, especially at the rear end of the four main floors. Views are everything.
