The Lazzara UHV 100 starts as the most voluminous yacht in its class. With 225 GT over a length of 30.5 metres, it offers more space than comparable models. The shipyard works with aviation technology and multiple safety systems.

Lazzara Yachts has launched the UHV 100 in Antalya, a 30.5 metre motor yacht with a gross tonnage of 225, positioning itself as the "fattest" ship in the 30 metre plus class and promising a volume that is otherwise offered by much larger yachts. A total of 260 square metres of interior space and 125 square metres of exterior deck space are available.

There is space for ten guests in five cabins on board, while the crew accommodation is designed for five people. Two Volvo Penta D13 engines, each with 735 kW, power the yacht, which has a range of 1,100 nautical miles at cruising speed. The design follows a system that minimises the number of penetrations through the hull. Lazzara is building the UHV 160 and developing the UHV 130 in parallel, so the concept is being realised in different sizes.

Materials from the aviation industry

The shipyard, which has its headquarters in Fort Lauderale (Florida, USA) and a construction site in Turkey, uses composite materials and core materials from the aviation industry for the hull and superstructure. High-density composite laminates increase durability and safety. The design aims for a favourable strength-to-weight ratio.

David Galante, Vice President of Lazzara Yachts: "The UHV 100 was our mission to go beyond conventional boundaries - not only in terms of volume, but also in how a yacht is built and designed."

Backup for virtually all systems

The patented Sea Chest system is structurally integrated into the hull and replaces several individual outlets. This reduces the risk of leaks and simplifies maintenance. All critical on-board systems are redundant: If one system fails, a backup takes over operations without interruption. The mechanical, electrical and sanitary systems follow a fail-safe architecture. Floating floors and ceilings reduce noise and vibrations.

The fresh water tank for the whirlpool works with a filter system that treats and reuses the water. Deniz Diduk, Head of Marketing at Lazzara Yachts: "Owners today expect more than just luxury, they expect confidence. The UHV 100 delivers this through intelligent technology, backup systems and a build quality that ensures they can enjoy their yacht without compromise."

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
