Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 world champion, has added another facet to his life of luxury: a 33-metre yacht called "Unleash the Lion". After a long wait of two years, the 27-year-old was able to take delivery of his new vessel in Viareggio.

The motor yacht was built by Italian manufacturer Mangusta and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. In addition to at least five guest cabins, the "Unleash the Lion" also has amenities such as a beach club, a fitness room and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Various media outlets estimate the purchase price at between six and twelve million euros.

"Unleash the Lion" received in Viareggio

Max Verstappen and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, daughter of three-time Brazilian Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet, travelled to Viareggio together with some team members to celebrate the Mangusta GranSport 33 to pick up. The choice of the name "Unleash the Lion" is a tribute to Verstappen's own brand and symbolises his unwavering ambition on and off the racetrack.

Where will Max Verstappen's yacht find a home harbour?

It is still unclear whether the motor yacht will have its home port in Viareggio or in Monaco, where Verstappen has been living for some time. As expected, Verstappen now joins other well-known personalities such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Roberto Mancini, who have also purchased their luxury yachts in Viareggio.

With the purchase of the Giga, Verstappen shows that he is not only successful on the race track, but also strives for excellence in his private life. After it was announced that he was going to be a father for the first time, the Dutchman has now found the perfect oasis at sea to relax and recharge his batteries before he starts back into the Formula 1 routine.
