ISA Yachts is building the second Viper 130 on speculation. The first unit will go to an American customer and will be launched in summer 2026. Delivery is planned for March 2028.

ISA Yachts has announced the start of construction of the second unit of the ISA Viper 130. The shipyard is building the 38.8 metre vessel on speculation, with delivery scheduled for March 2028. The first Viper 130 is already under construction for an American client at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona. The launch is planned for next summer and the world premiere will take place at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2026.

The hull of the ISA Viper 130 is made of composite and carbon, with a width of 7.85 metres and a draught of just 1.55 metres. Three MAN engines, each with 2,200 hp, propel the yacht to a top speed of 35 knots via two water jets and an MJP booster. Fulvio De Simoni is responsible for the exterior and interior design, while the construction is the work of ISA Yachts' own engineering team. First GTO 70.

Cockpit on three levels

The cockpit extends over three levels. The lowest level is the beach club at the stern with a transformer platform that integrates the bathing ladder and gangway. Two side steps lead to the large aft-facing sunbathing area and the lounge area with sofas and coffee table. The fold-out side balconies further extend the usable space. There is a dining table for up to twelve guests on the third level.

The galley at the stern can be separated from the bar area with a darkened glass panel. This arrangement allows both show cooking and a completely enclosed galley for maximum privacy for guests. To the left of the bar, a staircase leads to the sun deck. An alternative layout places the galley at the front for complete privacy.

Interior with flexible room concepts

The side deck only runs along the port side to maximise the interior volume. Amidships, a balcony opens up next to the saloon, creating a direct link between the indoor and outdoor areas. In the bow there is a circular pool surrounded by sunbathing areas and sofas.

The main salon itself is flooded with natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened. Semi-circular sofas, armchairs and a round table for ten people characterise the room.

Sun deck and sleeping areas

The sundeck with carbon fibre hardtop has a second steering position. Two large sunbathing areas in the stern, a lounge with sofas, an L-shaped bar and a table for ten people are available. Access for the crew of six, including the captain, is via the galley and ensures discreet service.

There are four double cabins and the owner's suite on the lower deck. The latter has two bathrooms with a shower positioned in the centre. A total of ten guests can be accommodated on board, with the crew spread across three cabins.

Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
