Horizon Yachts, headquartered in Taiwan, is once again bringing a selection of its gems to the Old Port of Cannes. One example is the twelfth FD100 Tri-Deck. This 31-metre flybridge yacht was originally launched as a special edition for Europe – a design by Cor D. Rover.
The saloon on the main deck welcomes guests with Minotti furniture, dark-stained oak panelling and black metal accents. Panoramic windows flood the room with natural light and bring the sea within touching distance. There is a seamless transition to the dining area, which seats ten guests; the table is ideal for family gatherings and stylish evenings with guests.
The galley is situated in front of the large table. Where required, electrically operated sliding doors discreetly partition off this area – ideal for switching between self-catering and professional catering.
One of the highlights of the FD100 is the master suite on the forward main deck. Natural woods and soft fabrics are complemented here by elegant stainless steel details. The colour contrasts are similar to those in the saloon. In the bathroom, which features twin washbasins and a walk-in shower, Mikado Quartz adorns the walls.
On the lower deck there are four guest cabins: two VIP cabins with double beds and two cabins with single beds. There are also three separate crew cabins in the forward section.
The saloon on the upper deck is a light-filled space for small gatherings or convivial evenings. With an 85-inch TV, a backlit bar and an L-shaped sofa, the room serves as both a private living room and an entertainment area. Large sliding doors open the Skylounge onto the outdoor deck.
Further forward is the helm. Here, the owner invites his guests to join in the action.
The cockpit is designed as a spacious lounge where guests can sit largely in the shade. On the upper aft deck, there are U-shaped seating and sunbathing areas, as well as a large teak table that seats up to ten people.
The foredeck, with its sun loungers and sofa, is a private, peaceful spot. A bimini top provides shade on request. Guests gather at the very top of the flybridge to enjoy the sun and the view. To allow for this, the seating and all built-in cupboards are kept below a height of 80 centimetres.
At the stern there is a garage for a large tender, as well as further efficiently designed storage space. The engine room houses two MAN V12 power units, each with an output of 1,471 kilowatts – flanked by two Solé diesel generators.
