With the "White Coral", Mulder Design presents an aesthetically exciting 115-metre concept for superyachts that combines timeless shapes with a dramatic stern view.

Mulder Design presents "White Coral", a 115-metre concept. The Dutch design and construction team would like to expand the all-round range for yachts up to 60 metres and focus more on the design of larger superyachts.

As a customer showed interest, the sketches quickly became 3D renderings with initial layout ideas. "The project is aesthetically exciting," says Bas Mulder, "but also firmly anchored in reality." His approach: First determine the flow of the hull and superstructure, then tackle the details so that the whole thing can be easily customised.

For "White Coral", timeless shapes were the top priority, along with a dramatic stern view in which the decks visually interlock. The mast shape remains typical of Mulder. The project name refers to the white coral, an organic gemstone that symbolises financial success, mental peace, willpower and healthy offspring.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
