Eight sales talents, seven episodes and a coveted job amidst superyachts and lucrative deals: in “Yacht Deals Monaco”, Disney+ combines entertaining reality TV with a demanding recruitment process. For one of the challenges, the production team brought in industry expertise: Martin Hager, editor-in-chief of BOOTE EXCLUSIV, assesses the candidates as a guest judge.

Monaco epitomises the international world of superyachts like no other place. At Port Hercule, owners, shipyards, designers and brokers come together, whilst some of the world’s largest and most expensive private yachts moor against the backdrop of the Principality. It is precisely in this setting – as glamorous as it is exclusive – that the new reality series “Yacht Deals Monaco” is set, premiering on Disney+ on 30 September 2026. All seven episodes will be released simultaneously.

The focus is on eight ambitious candidates who are competing for a place in one of the most exclusive sectors of the luxury industry. Their aim is to secure a position as a yacht broker within the company Breeze Yachting. Its founder and managing director, Cornelius Kistler, guides applicants through the selection process and ultimately decides who possesses the necessary talent for sales, consultancy and dealing with a particularly discerning clientele. Kistler is supported by Marcela de Kern Royer. The internationally active yacht consultant, entrepreneur and lecturer has known the industry for more than 20 years. Not only does she contribute her experience in consultancy and brokerage, but she is also deeply involved in the professional training of the industry’s next generation.

BOOTE EXCLUSIV as an expert authority

A special role is played by EXCLUSIVE BOATS: Editor-in-chief Martin Hager appears in the series as a guest judge, bringing the perspective of an experienced superyacht journalist to the selection process. This adds an extra layer of expertise to one of the challenges, as it is not enough simply to come across as confident on camera or to deliver a persuasive sales pitch.

The candidates must pitch an article to Hager for the superyacht magazine BOOTE EXCLUSIV and convince the judges with their story. An attractive prize awaits the winning team. This assessment also requires product knowledge, a confident manner and the ability to listen carefully, grasp the essence of a story quickly and convey it as effectively as possible. For aspiring brokers, this is a realistic test: after all, they must combine complex technology, design, comfort and emotion into a compelling presentation.

With Martin Hager on the judging panel, the programme features someone who has been closely monitoring the international superyacht market, its shipyards and products for over 20 years. BOOTE EXCLUSIV therefore does not merely provide the backdrop for a brief appearance, but supports the production with in-depth industry expertise. Particularly in a reality TV format that aims to combine entertainment with the real-life demands of the yachting business, this involvement lends the programme added authenticity.

More than just champagne and the sun deck

“Yacht Deals Monaco” shows that brokerage involves far more than simply showing wealthy prospective buyers around a sun deck. A yacht broker must identify clients’ needs, assess and market vessels, organise viewings and test sailings, conduct negotiations and oversee a sale right through to its technical and legal completion. Discretion, an understanding of human nature and the ability to cope under pressure are at least as important as specialist knowledge.

In the various tasks, candidates must therefore demonstrate their skills in sales talks, client presentations and when dealing directly with luxury yachts. Curating a high-quality menu is also part of the selection process. After all, in this industry, it is not just a boat that is being sold, but often an entire lifestyle.

Prominent guests are set to attract further attention. Among others, investor Frank Thelen and presenter and entrepreneur Verona Pooth will be taking their seats on the judging panel. Nevertheless, the real stars of the series remain the yachts – and the question of who can not only admire their unique features, but also convey them convincingly to a potential buyer.

Eight applicants with different CVs

The candidates bring experience from a wide variety of fields. The line-up includes content creator Tim Rasch, known from ‘Berlin – Tag & Nacht’ and ‘Couple Challenge’; car saleswoman and carfluencer Meltem Tasan; headhunter Néhémie Wagne; and financial adviser David Ohligschläger.

The group is rounded off by singer and sales manager Sophia Fellner, estate agent Jolyn Walter, former naval officer and investment specialist Randolf Cubin, and estate agent Tarik Oguz. They all possess skills that could prove useful in the superyacht business – but it is only under real pressure that it becomes clear who can combine poise, specialist knowledge and a flair for sales.

Reality TV meets real-world industry demands

Of course, “Yacht Deals Monaco” doesn’t shy away from competition, conflicts and the group dynamics typical of reality TV. However, unlike many traditional talent shows, the prize at the end is not a record deal or an influencer award, but the chance to embark on a demanding career. The series, filmed in Monaco and on the Côte d’Azur, was produced by Leonine Documentaries. The creator is Lisa Kaniß; Jochen Köstler was the producer, and Nicole Pagel is the executive producer.

With its mix of spectacular yachts, personal rivalries and realistic challenges, the programme offers a glimpse into an industry that normally places great emphasis on discretion. The involvement of BOOTE EXCLUSIV underlines the programme’s professional standards: when Martin Hager assesses the candidates’ skills, reality TV meets long-standing superyacht expertise.

“Yacht Deals Monaco” All seven episodes will be available on Disney+ from 30 September 2026.
