The Finnish yacht builder will be led by Anders Kurtén from September, while Henry Hawkins will become Senior Vice President and continue to provide strategic advice.
Kurtén has 15 years of experience in the maritime sector. The 48-year-old is currently Director of the Product Department at Inha Works Ltd, a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Europe, which manufactures Buster, Cross and Yamarin boats. The Finn gained experience in the sailing yacht sector as Managing Director of Finngulf. He is also the current chairman of the Finnish industry association Finnboat. Anders Kurtén has a well-filled order book. Baltic Yachts recently secured the contract for the construction of 36-Dykstra metres. Already under construction is a 44 metre blue water sailer with lines from Judel/Vrolijk & Co.
