With the Evo Performance stretch trousers, Musto offers ideal clothing for water sports enthusiasts. The material with 2-way stretch ensures full freedom of movement during activities on board. Aramid fibre reinforcements in high-wear areas ensure high durability.
According to the manufacturer, the trousers dry quickly and offer UV protection of UPF 50. The slightly raised back waistband protects against draughts and a gusset in the crotch ensures greater freedom of movement. Practical details such as zipped cargo pockets and a special mobile phone pocket in the side pockets make it easier to store equipment. Compared to buttons, zips also prevent small items such as car keys from falling out of the pocket.
The trousers are particularly hard-wearing thanks to aramid fibre reinforcements on the knees and seat. These are designed to prevent abrasion even during intensive use. The hem is also reinforced to prevent wear and tear. A brushed tricot fabric in the waistband ensures comfort.
The trousers are available in sizes 30 to 40 for men and 8 to 18 for women. There is a choice of three colours: True Navy, Black and Platinum. The price is quoted at 170 euros.
Sailing trousers made of synthetic fibres have the advantage over jeans made of cotton that they dry much faster. If a cotton fabric gets wet, it no longer warms and takes a very long time to dry again. Many synthetic fibres dry faster. In addition, reinforcements in high-wear areas such as the knees and buttocks protect against rapid wear and tear and holes in the fabric. Normal trousers can break quickly, especially on anti-slip structures on deck. A special cut and stretchy material also offer the necessary freedom of movement for work involving kneeling, such as fitting a cleat on the foredeck.
