At the Monaco Yacht Show this year, manufacturer FunAir is presenting a special innovation: inflatable furniture for yachts. With the new Corner Sofa and the Club Chaise Island, the company is introducing two fresh designs to its product portfolio.

While the Corner Sofa offers modular seating for socialising, the Club Chaise Island transforms three individual lounges into a floating or beach lounge. FunAir is thus aimed specifically at yacht owners who are looking for space-saving solutions and want to offer their guests a special experience on the water. As the only exhibitor of "on-water yacht toys", the company will be making its new products available for testing directly on Quai Louis II.

Lifestyle meets function

At the same time, FunAir is continuing its proven cooperation concept with Off the Deck. On show will be a golf simulator (SeaDrive CX) and the new FunAir × Off the Deck Golf Net. The latter has been further developed in terms of design and function, including additional anchoring points and optimised ball return. Off the Deck completes the setup with the SeaDrivePro, a variant of the simulator in fibre composite construction - more affordable yet powerful.

FunAir also justifies its presence with its commitment to the crew of the yachts: As co-sponsor of the Captains & Crew Lounge, the company wants to offer the team on board a space for relaxation and networking - and thus show its appreciation.

Managing Director John Courtney emphasises: "Crew are at the heart of this industry. This year, on our tenth anniversary, we are particularly pleased to present practical and stylish solutions for the yachting lifestyle with our new models."

Editor Test & Technology

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
