Self-propelled boat trailer from C-Pack

The Sefabo boat trailer from C-Pack, a German mechanical engineering company, simplifies the process of slipping. The trailer has its own motor drive and enables boat owners to effortlessly drive their boats from their own property to the shore and directly into the water without an external towing vehicle. According to the manufacturer, the Sefabo offers good manoeuvrability thanks to hydraulic steering, similar to tracked or caterpillar vehicles. The boat can also be turned 360 degrees on the spot. The boat trailer is available in three sizes and is designed for boats weighing between 1.5 and 3.5 tonnes.

Cool box from Qool

With the Qool Box, the company Qool offers various cool boxes that cool passively and are designed to keep food fresh for up to ten days without electricity. This is achieved through particularly effective insulation. So-called vacuum insulation panels are used here. Qool Temperature Elements, which are made of phase change material, are used for cooling. They have the special property that, when cooled down to minus 18 degrees, they keep the Qool Box at a constant temperature for many days. The cool pack variants Frozen with a temperature range of -20 to -10 degrees, Cool with -2 to +2 degrees and Fresh with +2 to +8 degrees are available. They are available in sizes M with a volume of 27 litres and L with a volume of 42 litres. The Qool Box M measures 525 x 375 x 410 millimetres.

Emergency aerial from Shakespeare

The GALAXY-INFL8 from Shakespeare can be quickly inflated to a length of 1.6 metres using the built-in cartridge or a hose and, with 3 dB radio performance, achieves a range up to three times greater than helical emergency antennas. The GALAXY-INF L8 also comes with what the manufacturer claims is a unique splice connector that enables quick and efficient connection to existing radio cables, which should further improve the range of radio transmission.

Cooking on board with pots from Cookvision

The Nesto cookware range from Cookvision can be customised and saves space in the cupboard thanks to its stackability. According to the manufacturer, the chrome-nickel stainless steel with sandwich base and aluminium core is particularly durable. The base construction prevents bending and thus ensures even heat distribution. The glass lids have hinged handles and therefore stack particularly flat. The pan handles and silicone handles are removable. An airtight lid for keeping food fresh and a magnetic trivet that sticks to the base of the pan are also available as accessories. In total, there are six pots with a volume of 1.3 to 5.1 litres, three pans with a diameter of 20 to 28 centimetres and with or without a non-stick coating, as well as five different glass lids. For on-board use, two pots and a pan with matching lids and handles are probably sufficient.

Control lights on board with OceanBridge

The OceanBridge makes it easy to control all the lights on a ship via a multifunctional display, smartphone or tablet. Up to 10 lighting zones and 10 lighting scenes can be created. It can control up to 64 lights simultaneously and can be extended to up to 150 lights with splitters. The OceanBridge is waterproof and equipped with 12/24V, NMEA-2000, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Editor Test & Technology

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
