Impressions and details of the Lidl Crivit SUP
The Crivit SUP from Lidl is a versatile all-round board with good workmanship and handling characteristics. It is primarily aimed at beginners and families, but has some limitations in terms of durability and equipment.

Lidl is expanding its water sports range with the Crivit SUP, an inexpensive entry-level model. The inflatable stand-up paddle board costs 199 euros and is aimed at beginners and occasional paddlers. In the test, it impressed with its solid workmanship and good-natured handling characteristics.

Good dimensions for beginners

The 315 x 84 x 15 cm (10'4" x 33" x 6") board weighs 7.78 kg dry. It has a single-chamber system with 15 PSI (1 bar) operating pressure. The finish is neat, with neat glued seams instead of welds. A padded centre handle facilitates transport. The non-slip EVA pad provides a secure footing. A special feature is a viewing window in the front area. Two luggage nets - larger at the front, smaller at the back - secure equipment. The medium-sized slide-in fin can be fitted quickly. The scope of delivery includes a repair kit and valve spanner. The robust rucksack holds a board, paddle and optional pump.

Inflation with the optional Crivit double-stroke pump (€19.99) is quick and effortless. The board is very stable on the water. The parallel edges in the centre area ensure good directional stability. Thanks to its low weight, it accelerates quickly and is easy to manoeuvre. The specified load capacity of 140 kg allows tandem rides. The board is ideal for beginners, families and moderate tours. It offers typical all-round characteristics - good-natured, but more agile than even wider models.

Nice gimmick on the Crivit iSUP: viewing window into the underwater world

A special feature is the built-in viewing window at the front of the board. It is designed as a recess with transparent PVC film on the underside and allows a limited view under water. This window is combined with the front, slightly larger of the two luggage nets. The rear net is significantly smaller. The front net can be stretched crosswise and can also hold a larger bag securely. The viewing window makes it easy to see under the board when travelling calmly or when stationary. When paddling fast, small air bubbles and swirls of water move under the board, so visibility is restricted - but the window still offers a nice added value as an alternative to snorkelling when paddling or in clear water.

The board is also very easy to manoeuvre. Even with a crossbow turn, i.e. pulling the paddle in a wide arc while remaining in the centre, it turns quickly. Tight turns are also possible if you carefully place your back foot behind the deck pad - but be careful here, as this area can appear quite slippery when barefoot.

Good test result for the Crivit iSUP from Lidl

For 199 euros you get the Lidl Crivit SUP A neatly finished all-round board with very good tipping stability, well thought-out features, easy handling and impressive riding characteristics - ideal for beginners, families or occasional users. The viewing window is a nice bonus that can provide additional fun on the water.

The workmanship with glued seams promises less durability than expensive models with welded seams. The equipment is functional but spartan - there are no additional handles at the front and rear. The smooth stern can be slippery in wet conditions. For occasional trips and beginners, however, the Crivit SUP offers very good value for money.
