The Ocean Offshore Yacht Jacket is designed to offer the best possible protection from the elements. The jacket is made from four-layer Gelanots material. The membrane is designed to remain waterproof up to a water column of 26,000 millimetres and offer high breathability (1000 grams per cubic metre in 24 hours). The collar is very high and also has a storm flap to protect against wind and spray, while the hood has a 3D adjustment system to ensure a particularly good fit and a clear view.
Cordura reinforcements on the elbows and lower back protect against wear and tear, while reflectors are designed to increase visibility in the dark. The jacket also has many pockets on the front, on the chest and one on the upper arm. The cuffs are double and adjustable. The Ocean Offshore Yacht Jacket is available in six colours and costs 460 euros.
The Ordana online shop offers the X-16 Offshore Yacht Waterproof Pants to match. The trousers extend to the chest, have adjustable straps and heat pockets. Cordura reinforcements protect the knees and seat. The trousers are also available in six colours and cost 250 euros.
Customised sizes
The special thing about Ordana's range, however, is the size chart. Here you can choose from S to XXL. There is also a button labelled "Individual". Here, functional clothing can be ordered according to your own measurements. Five measurements are required for the jacket: body height, chest circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference and thigh circumference. A total of eleven measurements are required for the trousers. The exact points are marked in diagrams, the measurements can be entered directly in the online shop and then the order can be placed.
Depending on the garment, more or less measurements are required. Customers most often have to take measurements when ordering a wetsuit according to individual measurements. The real surprise, however, is the price: it always remains the same. When asked, it is said that 20 per cent can be added for particularly large oversizes. All customised garments that fall within the normal size chart cost no more than the standard price in the online shop.
The oilskin for coastal areas
The X-16 Yacht Jacket has a collar that is not quite as high and fewer pockets, but is still made from the same four-layer material as the offshore version. This makes it ideal as an oilskin for coastal areas. The jacket is priced at 345 euros. And it is also possible to have it tailored to individual measurements.
The X-16 Offshore Yacht Waterproof Pants described above for 250 euros are a perfect match. For a customised oilskin suit with jacket and trousers, a total of ten measurements must be taken on your own body.
