The polarised sunglasses effectively protect the eyes from UV radiation and reduce reflections on the water. The camera sits inconspicuously in the centre bridge between the lenses and records from the wearer's perspective. It is operated via a single button on the right temple. A short press starts the recording, a longer press stops it again. A small LED display provides information on the operating status. The glasses weigh 37 grams and should be as comfortable to wear as normal sports sunglasses.
One pair of glasses, four functions
In addition to protecting the eyes from UV radiation, the BleeqUp action goggles offer photo and video functions. Speakers and microphones are also built into the temples. This means you can listen to music or make phone calls via Bluetooth. The goggles also offer a walkie-talkie function for direct communication with crew members who are also wearing action goggles. Photos and videos are taken directly from the wearer's perspective. This allows manoeuvres or everyday situations on board to be documented. The battery integrated into the goggle frame is said to last for one hour of video footage on a single charge. With the optional additional battery, the video recording time can be extended to five hours. Videos are automatically stabilised. This should prevent blurred videos even with rapid head movements. The app supplied automatically cuts a video with the highlights and adds music. Data such as speed and distance travelled can also be displayed. The AI-curated videos can be saved in portrait and landscape format, perfect for social media such as Instagram or TikTok.
Simple control of the action glasses
The various functions of the action goggles can be controlled directly on the temple via a touch zone, buttons on the frame or a small Bluetooth controller. This remote control is available as an option and is designed for attachment to bicycle handlebars. Installation on the tiller or a railing support would certainly also be an option here. Also important for water sports enthusiasts: the goggles are protected against splashing water from all directions. According to the IP54 standard, they cannot be immersed in water, but should be resistant to rain or spray.
RX clips are available for all spectacle wearers. These are available with prescription and can be fitted on the inside as an additional pair of lenses. This means that the individual prescription can be easily retrofitted.

The BleeqUp action goggles weigh 37 grams and come with adjustable nose pads. This should ensure a firm and comfortable fit. The camera sensor offers 16 megapixels. The internal memory of 32 gigabytes should provide space for at least 4.5 hours of video material. The BleeqUp Ranger AI Sports Camera Glasses (the full name) costs 399 euros. With the optional Zeiss lenses, the price rises to 439 euros. The higher-quality lenses are said to be more resistant to scratches and fogging. They also offer an even clearer view, according to the manufacturer. The additional battery and Bluetooth controller cost an extra 45 euros each.
