Air conditioning: Modular cooling technology with high efficiency

The BlueCool VX series is a chiller system with variable speed control that enables high efficiency and precise load management. The speed adapts to the respective cooling requirement, which enables high efficiency and precise load management.

The system uses titanium heat exchangers for a long service life. Three ECO modes make it possible to adjust the performance while keeping energy consumption low - a relevant factor for longer stays at sea or in harbours.

The modular architecture allows up to six BlueCool units to be combined in the 36, 48, 60, 72 and 120 BTU/h output levels. This means that the system can be used for medium-sized yachts through to superyachts. Each installation can be customised to the respective requirements.

Webasto developed a customised version for the Lagoon Eighty 2 catamaran in collaboration with the Beneteau Group. Two VX modules were pre-assembled on a custom frame and supplied as a plug-and-play package. This reduces installation time and minimises potential sources of error during installation.
