Garmin has unveiled its new Apollo Marine speakers and subwoofers, designed to provide an enhanced audio experience at sea. The Fusion Marine range combines high quality sound with a customisable design. With interchangeable grills and multi-coloured LED light rings, they can be visually adapted to the boat.
"With the latest speakers and subwoofers in our Apollo series, we want to enable an even clearer and louder music experience at sea," says Dan Bartel, Vice President of Global Consumer Sales at Garmin.
The Apollo Marine speakers and subwoofers are designed to deliver a clear and undistorted sound even at higher volumes. This is achieved through an optimised speaker design and the use of new materials. The coaxial speakers cover the entire audio spectrum, while the subwoofers provide powerful bass. They are designed so that they can be used together with Fusion stereo systems and amplifiers as a complete system. The devices can be controlled via smartphone using the Fusion Audio app or compatible Garmin smartwatches.
The speakers and subwoofers in the Apollo series are characterised by interchangeable grilles and LED light rings. The grills are available in white and grey and are easy to install. The LED light rings also offer a wide colour spectrum. The lighting is controlled via Garmin chart plotters or the ActiveCaptain app in conjunction with the Garmin Spectra LED control modules. The series is available in different sizes: speakers are available in 6.5 inch, 7.7 inch and 8.8 inch, subwoofers in 10 inch and 12 inch.
The Apollo series is designed for the harsh conditions at sea and tested for watertightness and pressure resistance in accordance with international standards (ISO 12216). They have IP66 and IP67 protection classes and are protected against dust, water, salt, extreme temperatures, vibrations and UV radiation. The devices also feature waterproof plug-and-play connections that comply with industry standards and enable easy installation. "With the latest generation of our Apollo series, boat owners no longer have to compromise," says an Bartel, Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Sales.
The Apollo Marine loudspeakers and subwoofers have been specially developed for first-class sound quality at high volumes. This is made possible by an improved speaker design and the use of new composite materials. The coaxial speakers provide hi-fi sound across the entire audio spectrum. The subwoofer provides deep, powerful bass that is not only heard but also felt. Fusion products are characterised by their optimal integration as a complete system to ensure a user-friendly listening experience on the water. Fusion stereo systems and amplifiers can be easily connected to maximise the sound experience while minimising distortion. The devices can be conveniently controlled via compatible Garmin smartwatches or the Fusion Audio app on your smartphone.
The new Fusion Apollo series is available from an RRP of €499.99 to €949.99, depending on the model.
