Lowrance introduces the Ghost X 47-inch trolling motor. The new model offers improved positioning accuracy, 20% more thrust and even quieter operation. The Ghost X adds another powerful tool for anglers to Lowrance's Ultimate Fishing System.

Lowrance, one of the leading manufacturers of fishing technology, presents the Ghost X 47-inch Trolling Motor is a further development of its successful predecessor model. Designed for freshwater use, the electric motor is characterised by improved positioning precision, a 20 percent increase in thrust and a further reduction in noise levels. Lowrance is thus addressing the key requirements of ambitious anglers and adding another key component to its Ultimate Fishing System.

Precision as a key factor

At the centre of the new development is an improved precision indicator that ensures even greater accuracy and visibility for both sonar location and engine control. Newly designed, raised chevrons not only give the new Lowrance Ghost X a striking design, but also enable optimum visibility from all positions in the boat.

Increased performance with reduced noise level

With a 20 percent increase in thrust compared to the previous model, the Ghost X offers the necessary power to manoeuvre effortlessly even in strong currents or dense stands of aquatic vegetation. Despite the increase in performance, Lowrance has succeeded in further reducing the noise level. The Ghost X is said to be the company's quietest motor to date. This combination of power and quiet running allows anglers to approach promising spots inconspicuously without scaring fish away with engine noise.

Versatile control options

The Ghost X offers various control options. In addition to the foot pedal, the motor can be operated via any compatible multifunction display with NMEA 2000 integration. Lowrance is also announcing an optional GPS remote control for the third quarter of 2025. This compact control unit will enable position changes to be made from any point on the boat. A cruise control function keeps the speed constant over ground. A newly designed LED indicator ring provides information about the current mode, pairing status and battery level at a glance.

Integration into the Lowrance ecosystem

The Ghost X is fully integrated into the Lowrance ecosystem. It comes with an Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer that offers enhanced sonar viewing capabilities. The motor is also compatible with Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 mounts, allowing access to live sonar. This seamless integration of different technologies emphasises Lowrance's approach to providing anglers with a holistic system that covers all aspects of modern angling.

Availability and pricing

The Lowrance Ghost X trolling motor is now available with a 47-inch shaft length. The price starts at €5,115, which positions it in the upper segment of the market. Lowrance emphasises its confidence in the quality of the product with a lifetime warranty on the shaft and a three-year warranty on the motor. For owners of the previous model, Lowrance offers a retrofit kit that includes the new precision indicator and can be purchased through the company's service centre network.
