With this headset from BBTalkin, communication on board is possible even without a phone tariff. The smartphone is not needed at all and remains safely below deck or on land.

On larger boats or when there is a lot of wind noise, verbal communication between the helm and the foredeck can be difficult to understand. Instead of shouting loudly, a headset can help. The sports headset from BBTalkin can do even more: it is waterproof and is therefore also suitable for wet areas of use on boats, boards or kayaks.

The headsets are connected via Bluetooth, so no phone contract or smartphone is required. The two-channel connection enables normal conversations without having to press a button. The headset is worn like a headband, with the speaker and microphone on the left side. This leaves the right ear free for ambient noise and direct communication with people on the bridge.

The price: How much the BBTalkin headset should cost

The headset is connected to the BBTalking Standard 3.0 headset via an IPX7 standard waterproof plug connection. It acts as a transmitter and receiver and can be attached to an arm strap. It can also be placed in a pocket, but the lower the position, the shorter the range. The manufacturer specifies a range of 1000 metres under ideal conditions. This is sufficient for onboard communication and also for keeping in touch with the crew in the dinghy.

The headset also features noise cancellation, the option of pairing with a smartphone and integrating phone calls, expansion to up to four call participants, 14 hours of operating time with two hours of charging time.
