High-performance connectors play a key role in the safe and reliable transmission of power and data signals on board. The Sure-Seal product family comprises three versions to meet different requirements: the Mini-Sure-Seal variant is designed for currents of up to 8 amps and two to four circuits. The standard version supports up to 15 amps and one to ten circuits. The Power Sure-Seal variant is designed for currents of up to 85 amps per contact.
Dust- and water-resistant connector
The two-part design consists of a connector housing and a contact assembly. According to the manufacturer, this design ensures reliable electrical connections even under demanding operating conditions. Water, salt spray, dirt, vibrations, extreme temperatures and corrosive liquids are not expected to impair the connectors’ performance.
According to the manufacturer, all connectors in the Sure-Seal series comply with protection class IP67. This means they are dust-tight and protected against temporary submersion in water.
The connectors are designed for ambient temperatures ranging from −40 to +105 °C. Furthermore, they are intended to be resistant to brake fluid, petrol, diesel fuel, antifreeze and lubricating oils, as well as to UV radiation and ozone.
