The little sister won prizes: Now the Slovenian shipyard Greenline wants to continue the success story - with the slightly larger Hybrid 40.

Some things grow slowly but deliberately. This also applies to the model family of Greenline Hybrid. In 2009, the Slovenian shipyard first came onto the market with the almost 10 metre long 33 - and the environmentally friendly mixed concept of diesel and electric engines with a little solar energy on the side immediately attracted a lot of attention.

The trade press also took a close look and honoured the innovative concept with the "European Powerboat Award 2010", among others. According to the manufacturer, the "green" initiative has also paid off economically: Around 120 boats are said to have been sold since then.

Time for a new addition to the family: the 11.99 metre long Greenline Hybrid 40 will celebrate its premiere at the HISWA Boatshow in Amsterdam and then tour the other major boat shows.

Motorisation is possible with one or two diesels. Two 165 hp engines provide enough power for a top speed of 18 knots. The electric motor has 20 watts - enough for a cruising speed of 6 knots. The range in electric mode is no less than 20 nm.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
