When switching from a traditional single-hull motorboat to a charter motor catamaran, familiar basics are combined with entirely new characteristics. Two hulls, two engines and the greater beam significantly alter the handling. The right technique is particularly important during harbour manoeuvres, when docking and undocking, and when moored at a buoy.
This is exactly where the BOATS Cat Experience by The Moorings From 2 to 6 May 2027, participants will learn how to manoeuvre a motor catamaran independently and safely near Split in Croatia. The sailing course is aimed at boating enthusiasts with little or no experience of catamarans. Under the guidance of experts from BOOTE and The Moorings, you will practise key manoeuvres and gain experience at the helm as part of a group.
