Four in one go: We tested inflatable boats from the manufacturers Honwave (T35 AE), Quicksilver (340 Enduro Sport), Suzumar (DS 360 AL) and Yam (340 S). A comparison of the approximately three and a half metre long boats.

Inflatable boats are particularly suitable for getting a taste of boat life. Dismountable models usually fit into the boot of an estate car together with the outboard motor and are then assembled on the spot.

If you are travelling with a caravan or motorhome, you can also take the boat-motor combination with you in roof boxes or large storage spaces.

Another advantage is that not only the purchase price is kept within limits, but also the annual costs (see also BOOTE 10/10). When purchasing, customers benefit from the "package prices" of the individual representatives in our test quartet.

This does not refer to the transport costs, but to the combination of boat and motor. All models are only sold as an inflatable boat/outboard motor bundle and are therefore cheaper than when purchased individually.

If you are travelling with a family of four, you need safe places, especially with small children. To ensure safety, a boat must of course not be too small.

Ralf Marquard

Deputy Editor in Chief BOOTE

Ralf Marquard discovered his enthusiasm for boating on the tranquil Aller, first with inflatable boats and later with a 6-meter cabin cruiser. His electrical engineering studies at HAW Hamburg took him from the southern Heidekreis (Lower Saxony) to the Hanseatic city. Ralf Marquard has been working for the BOOTE editorial team since 1997, where he trained as a test editor. He tests both small inflatable boats and larger yachts. His personal boat is a 4.50 meter long, self-built wooden boat with a 50 hp outboard motor. In 2007, he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief at BOOTE.
