Catch me if you can
It's the mix that makes the difference: Francesco Struglia and Michael Peters mix Italian design and American sports-oriented lifestyle at sea. The result is, in the words of Azimut: "The ultimate boating machine." While Struglia's work is inspired by the Lamborghini and Maserati of the sixties and seventies, Peters, who has countless championship titles and speed records to his name, is all about dynamics. His stepped hull and Mercury's Verado quartet (4 x 450 hp) give the Verve 47 a top speed of 50 knots. Who can keep up with her? The highlights in terms of comfort are two cabins, a bathroom with separate shower and a double cockpit with swing-down sides and a wet bar with BBQ grill.

Haste makes perfect
The alternative is called Coupe: For Constantinos Constantinou, Sirena's Director of North American Sales, the Coupé 58 is the perfect contrast programme for all those who don't need a flybridge. Two or three cabins? Constantinou's favourite is the layout with the owner's suite installed amidships and two separate guest cabins. The owner is also spoilt for choice when it comes to fitting out the saloon. The standard features include a driving position, galley, XXL sofas and folding doors that turn the saloon and cockpit into one large living area. The owner can also think big when preparing for a cruise. If you hold back on the throttle (cruising at 10 knots), you can plan for a range of 850 nm. Those who are in a permanent hurry with the Turkish semi-glider are known to not get quite as far.

Open society
Nice weekend: The cockpit in the bow offers space for a convertible seating area. The cockpit in the stern, in which the tender and toys can be stowed, is also part of the "open-plan society". The yacht builders don't leave the driving position and dinette out in the rain, but protect both with a hardtop. Cooking takes place below deck between the owner's suite and VIP cabin. On request, there is also a children's room with bunk beds as an "interim solution". Volvo Pentas IPS 1200 (2 x 900 hp), which ensures safe handling and a top speed of 42 knots, is at the top of the wish list.

You can do what you do
A topic of conversation: You can discuss why it is the way it is. When it comes to yacht design, Italian style has always been very popular with owners. They can do it, the Italians. For Marc-Udo Broich (CEO) and Sergio Cutolo (Design), the new 66 is the starting signal for a successful future. The customised suit is packed with functionality and plenty of comfort. The former is provided by two 1200 hp MAN diesels with a conventional shaft system and state-of-the-art electronics for navigation and communication. The promised comfort is guaranteed by the elegant interior of the owner's suite located amidships. The VIP cabin in the bow and two guest cabins are also anything but uncomfortable. The galley, dinette and sofas are located in the saloon. A must-have is the hardtop for the flybridge, on which there are deckchairs, a seating area and a wet bar in addition to the second helm station.

Swiss Made
Unknown flying object: Pyxis P-30 wa, the name is unusual and an insider tip even among insiders. The almost 10 metre long walkaround from Switzerland is powered by two powerful outboard engines. If you reach into the drawer where the "350s" are located when choosing an engine, you can look forward to a top speed of 55 knots. The "air traffic controllers" are Alessandro Chessa, who is responsible for the entire concept, and Carlo Galeazzi, responsible for styling and interior design. The result of their work is a modern weekender with sporty lines - the perfect blend of performance and comfort. Under the heading of comfort are a cabin with a bathroom
and two double beds and the cockpit, which features convertible seating areas and a galley.
