The opposite is the case, because with the fast-paced Formula 5 and Formula 4 catamaran classes as part of the races for the International German Championship and the popular OSY 400 "Rutscherklasse", three of the boat classes sponsored by the DMYV will be competing on the traditional race course on the Moselle. In keeping with the long motorboat racing tradition, classic racing boats will meet up to bring nostalgic flair to the Moselle course with a Classic Boat Show.
The Formula 5 boats will be the first boat class to race on climate-neutral e-fuels provided by the eFuels Forum. The tests on the engines have been successfully completed. The switch to climate-neutral e-fuels in racing is also planned for other boat classes. Tests and harmonisation are still ongoing.
"Start your engines, please" is the motto once again on the Moselle and this year the start and finish zone will once again be located in front of the "Anker" car park on the Traben side of the Moselle. The course on the Moselle offers fans and spectators the opportunity to experience the racing action up close.
Nils Wittling, the reigning jet ski world champion, will be demonstrating that there are other ways of travelling at high speed on the water besides boat racing and will be showing off his jet ski skills to spectators and fans of fast water sports. The 16-year-old is regarded as the shooting star of the German jet ski scene and thrills his fans with his high-speed manoeuvres.
Of course, there will also be an accompanying programme on land, and admission to the event on the banks of the Moselle is free. In addition to food, drink and fun for children, Soujon SuperCars will be presenting supercars and hypercars from its portfolio. Those who love electric but no less action-packed water sports should take a look at the AUDI e-Tron Foil Board, which invites you to enjoy elegant, silent and sporty foil surfing.
