Both beginners and professionals compete against each other in the Yamaha SuperJet Cup. Whoever manoeuvres their sled fastest through the buoy course qualifies for the next round. At the end of each event, great prizes await the top three finishers: The winner receives 300 euros, the runner-up 200 euros and the third-placed 100 euros. There is also a dream prize for the strongest rookie of the year: a trip to the big wave surfing paradise of Nazaré to be there live when the daring WaveRunner riders plunge into the monster waves. There is absolute equality of opportunity in the Yamaha SuperJet Cup, as only WaveRunners in the Ski Division GP4 class that conform to the rules are permitted. These SuperJets must be powered by a 4-stroke engine with a maximum displacement of 1,100 cm³ and 110 hp and must not weigh less than 160 kilograms. Registration for the Yamaha SuperJet Cup 2024 is now open. Riders with a valid UIM licence can secure their rider ticket online. Newcomers will receive their starting authorisation at the official licence course, including beginners' training, which will take place from 19 to 21 April at Runstedter See in Großkayna.
The races take place on two weekends in May and August on Lake Zwenkau. The season kicks off on 11 and 12 May, with the grand finale taking place on 31 August and 1 September. The Yamaha SuperJet Cup is also a highlight for water sports fans, as they have the opportunity to follow the exciting racing action from the shore.
