Messe Düsseldorf said goodbye to the original date in January 2021 at the beginning of December and rescheduled the 51st edition for 17 to 25 April. Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, explains the new postponement as follows "The continuing high level of infections and the fact that the end of the lockdown is not foreseeable for the time being make a resumption of trade fair operations at the end of April appear increasingly unrealistic. We have reassessed the situation with our partners and have jointly decided to cancel boot 2021 early."
The next boot Düsseldorf is scheduled to take place from 22 to 30 January 2022, i.e. in the period that was already reserved for the 52nd edition of the trade fair.
