This year, Oyster once again invited its large family of owners to the Oyster Regatta in Palma de Mallorca. The event (the 34th Oyster Regatta in total) celebrated its 10th anniversary, and 26 Oyster yachts from eleven countries with lengths between 45 and 100 feet travelled to the jetties of the Real Club Nautico, which provided the berths as the host yacht club. In addition to a varied supporting programme, the owners, their families and friends who had travelled with them were naturally also interested in competitive sailing fun in the bay of Palma. Sailing took place in three classes, with the weather allowing six races over the four days. In Class I, "Karibu" (Oyster 885) won ahead of "Reina" (Oyster 825) and "Starry Night of the Caribbean" (Oyster 82). In Class II, "Lady Mariposa" placed ahead of "Guardian Angel" and "Vamos of Portsmouth" (all Oyster 625). And in Class III, "Silver Lining" (Oyster 575) won ahead of "SunsuSea" (Oyster 46) and "Yo Ho Ho of Sark" (Oyster 45).
