BOOTE EXCLUSIV announced it in the July/August issue, the 25th anniversary issue of the magazine - and now the winner has been chosen. The winner of the BOOTE EXCLUSIV Readership Award is "Palladium", designed by Michael Leach and built by Blohm + Voss. The 95 metre long yacht came out on top against 25 competitors put forward by the BOOTE EXCLUSIV editorial team. Among others, "Alfa Nero", "A", "Dubai" and "Athena" were also nominated. The prerequisite for a listing was that the yacht had already been presented in detail in BOOTE EXCLUSIV. A total of over 3500 ranking points were awarded by the readers.
"This yacht has already won several prizes," said Blohm + Voss CEO Dr Herbert Aly at the award ceremony at boot Düsseldorf, "but none that have been awarded by readers of a superyacht magazine. That is something special." As part of the Flagship Night, which is jointly organised by Delius Klasing Verlag and Messe Düsseldorf, Dr Aly was presented with a high-quality glass sculpture from the Czech manufacturer Crystal Caviar. "It will have a place of honour in my office," said the Hamburg shipyard boss happily.
In the other places (2-10) were: "Maltese Falcon" (Perini Navi), "Alfa Nero" (Oceanco), "Esense" (Wally), "A" (HDW/TKMS), "Hetairos" (Baltic), "Nirvana" (Oceanco), "Smeralda" (Hanseatic Marine/Silver Yachts), "Ghost" (Vitters) and "Skat" (Lürssen).
