Even the 33-metre Baltic "WinWin", which is used to success, was unable to counter the Wally dominance after two days and races and is currently in third place, followed by the Wally 93 "Bullitt" (ex-"Nahita"). In light winds, the Wallycento "Magic Carpet Cubed" sailed away from everyone. The "Mariette of 1915", a 33 metre Herreshoff gaff schooner from the same year, was ahead on the second day. Currently in second place overall is the Wally 95 "Magic Blue". The Spirit 111 "Geist" (issue 6-20) is also at the start off the Costa Smeralda.
At the same time, five other yachts will be competing in the Southern Wind Rendezvouz, a fun event for owners of fast sloops from South Africa. Like the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, the SWS Rendezvous will be held at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo until 4 June.
