From 18 to 26 January, boot will once again attract hundreds of thousands of water sports enthusiasts to Düsseldorf. The trade fair has a new layout this year.

"With the planning and allocation of the new Hall 1, we have rethought our entire trade fair organisation. The well-being of our exhibitors and the service for our visitors were clearly at the forefront," explains boot boss Petros Michelidakis. The new layout of the world's largest water sports trade fair is immediately convincing and will make fans of the larger and sportier yacht formats particularly happy. For the first time, Hall 5 will feature an area dedicated exclusively to the growing market for tenders, chase and shadow boats. "In this new Superboats Hall, we are bringing together everything that is exclusive, fast, innovative and elegant - this is where the 'super sports cars of the seas' come into their own," enthuses Michelidakis. Brands such as Wally, Brabus Marine, Frauscher and SACS will be there.

Hall 6 remains the centrepiece of the Düsseldorf large yacht world and, as every year, will attract the crowds. "The trend towards large yachts continues, and a visit to Hall 6 - as we know from surveys - is a must for every visitor," says the trade fair boss. With the 29.10 metre long SL 96 Asymmetric, Sanlorenzo is delivering the largest yacht at the show this year and a format with an innovative interior layout. Numerous yacht brands such as Princess, Ferretti, Sanlorenzo, Sirena Marine and Fairline will be using the huge exhibition on the Rhine to present their new yachts to the public for the first time.

Sailing yacht enthusiasts will be drawn to Halls 15 and 16, where the CNB brand will be exhibiting the CNB 76, the flagship of the mast-equipped trade fair formats. Nautor is presenting the ClubSwan 36, a daysailor that is particularly at home on regatta courses, and the French shipyard Amel is celebrating the world premiere of the 19-metre Amel 60.

Anyone interested in purely customised yachts and interiors is recommended to visit the Superyachtshow in Hall 7a, where BOOTE EXCLUSIV also has its berth (7a/B08).

Azimut's impressive stand in Hall 6 will be adorned with three sporty and striking new models. The largest model from the Italians is the 28.72 metre long Azimut S10. (6/D58)

Martin Hager

Editor in Chief YACHT

Martin Hager is editor-in-chief of the titles YACHT and BOOTE EXCLUSIV and has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag for 20 years. He was born in Heidelberg in 1978 and started sailing at the age of six, in an Opti of course. This was soon followed by 420s, Sprinta Sport and 470s, which he also sailed on the regatta course with his brother. His parents regularly took him on charter trips through the Greek and Balearic Islands. Even at a young age, it was clear to him that he wanted to turn his passion for water sports into a career. After graduating from high school and completing an internship at the Rathje boatbuilding company in Kiel, it was clear that he did not want to become a classic boatbuilder. Instead, he successfully studied shipbuilding and marine engineering in the Schleswig-Holstein state capital and focused on yacht design wherever he could. His diploma thesis dealt with the “Testing of a new speed prediction method for sailing yachts”. In 2004, the superyacht magazine BOOTE EXCLUSIV was looking for an editor with technical and nautical background knowledge, a position that was perfect for Martin Hager. The application was successful and a two-year traineeship was arranged. After twelve years as an editor, the editorial team changed and he took over responsibility for BOOTE EXCLUSIV as editor-in-chief in 2017. After long-time YACHT editor-in-chief Jochen Rieker moved to the role of publisher, Martin Hager also took over the position of editor-in-chief of Europe's largest sailing magazine YACHT, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, at the beginning of 2023. When he's not working on topics for the two water sports titles, Martin Hager likes to go out on the water himself - preferably with kite and wingfoil equipment or on a little after-work trip across the Alster.
