Boats of the future? This is how the 10th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge went with 50 teams from 31 universities and 25 nations

Huge response to the anniversary: The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is an international competition open to the public, in which students and professionals from all over the world compete in three different classes to demonstrate their solutions for efficient and sustainable boating: Energy, Solar and Ocean classes. Organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco, the event will also provide a platform for an open exchange of information: Industry pitch, conference, career day, job fair, hydrogen round table and mentoring programme for companies.

Among the 15 starters in the Energy Class was the WannSea team from TU Berlin with their own design, in which 38 students from ten nations and 16 faculties took part. About the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is an annual competition organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco. The aim of the competition is to promote innovative and environmentally friendly boat technologies. Teams from all over the world travel to take part and present their prototypes of boats that are powered exclusively by renewable energy. The boats are judged in various categories, including design, innovation and energy efficiency. The competition serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and promotes the development of sustainable technologies in the shipping industry.
