The course covers measures ranging from preventing a person from falling overboard to rescuing and providing further care for the person involved, presented in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.

Mara Zapp, head of the Well Sailing sailing school, has been teaching various water sports since the 1990s. Since 2017, she has been an integral part of the training team at the sailing school, which she has now been running for five years. There, together with her team, she runs eight to ten World Sailing-certified safety training courses (Safety at Sea) each year. The experience gained from these courses, combined with continuous professional development and a touch of humour even when dealing with difficult topics, are what set Mara Zapp apart.
